The Arizona Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office prioritizes hiring local tribal members and as well as early-career conservationists from around the country. Over the last eight years, 125 young people have worked seasonally in this office. Kristy Kiehne, Apache trout biologist with the AZFWCO, has been leading the seasonal staff in completing countless surveys and recovery projects since 2018.
